TORONTO, ON – The King Rebellion hit the road this past weekend to take part in the 2025 Carnevale Junior Showcase at Scotiabank Pond.

Game 1: King Rebellion vs. APA Eagles

Final Score: APA Eagles 5 – King Rebellion 4

The showcase opener was a rollercoaster of momentum. APA jumped out to a 2–0 lead with goals on special teams—a power play followed by a shorthanded marker. Matthew McKenna put the Rebellion on the board with a power play goal late in the first, assisted by Ewan McChesney and Zev Zhang.

APA extended their lead to 5–1 midway through the second, but King Rebellion fought back with three straight goals from Jackson Bristow, Johnny Sammon, and Ewan McChesney to close the gap to one. Despite the furious comeback, time ran out and the Rebellion dropped a tight one.

Game 2: King Rebellion vs. EP Showcase Blue

Final Score: King Rebellion 11 – EP Showcase Blue 4

This one was all Rebellion. After giving up a two-goal lead early in the first, King responded with an offensive outburst. Ewan McChesney’s power play goal sparked nine unanswered goals, with scoring contributions from Lucas Ferguson (2G), Cole McGuire (2G), Gavin Yin, Zev Zhang, Anton Smirnov, Johnny Sammon, and Ben Lyons.

The Rebellion’s puck movement and depth overwhelmed EP Blue in a statement win that showed their offensive ceiling.
