Preview- Brantford 99ers vs. Buffalo Jr. Sabres

BRANTFORD, ON- The Brantford 99ers are back in action for the first time since the holiday break, hosting the Buffalo Jr. Sabres at the Gretzky Centre for the second time this season.

The 99ers start the new year on a 2-game win streak, with their last victories coming against Caledon and Niagara Falls. Evin Kojokaro leads the team in points with an even 40 at the halfway mark of the season. Brantford sits 5 points out of a playoff spot, currently holding a 15-20-0-1 record.

The Jr. Sabres ended the 2023 calendar year with a tough 5-3 defeat at the hands of the Milton Menace. Cameron Doran narrowly leads Buffalo in points with 42 in 35 games played. The Jr. Sabres sit at 4th in the West Conference with a 20-13-0-2 record.

This is the third of four matchups between these teams this season, with Buffalo prevailing both times so far with a 3-1 victory on home ice and a 2-1 victory in Brantford on December 14th. The 99ers head south of the border to the Lecom Harborcenter next week to wrap up their season series against the Jr. Sabres.
