KING, ON- The Rebellion are back on the road less than 48 hours off of their last game of the Showcase, tonight heading the Milton to faceoff against former teammate Kyle Burton and the Menace.
The Rebellion earned a well deserved 2-0 victory over the North York Rangers on Wednesday night. Despite outshooting their opponent 42-16, Aidan Russell was the only player able to sneak a goal past Rangers goalie Amir Valiullin. Mike Zakharov scored on the empty net to secure his first goal in the OJHL, and Erik Powers earned his 2nd shutout in his 2nd career game which has people wondering…has he set an OJHL record? Aaron Andrade and Marshall McCharles still tie the team lead in points with 6 each, and Simon Wang is right behind them with 5.
Milton is out to quite the impressive start to their campaign, with only 1 loss so far on the season. At the showcase, they took down the 2 time Buckland Cup finalist Trenton Golden Hawks 5-1. Rookie sensation Ryder Cali is 2nd on the team in points with 12 in 7 games, and Gabriel Ciarallo leads the team with 15.
The puck drops at 7:30pm at the Milton Memorial Arena, and here live on FloHockey.
