BUFFALO, NY- The Brantford 99ers played their 2nd and final Governors’ Showcase match this evening against the Lindsay Muskies. Zach Burleigh took the 99ers crease for the contest, and Ethan Fraser made his 8th start between the pipes this season for the Muskies.

The Muskies opened the scoring relatively quickly as Connor D’Angelo squeaked the puck under the arm of Burleigh to give Lindsay a 1-0 lead just 2:30 into the game.

That goal would wind up to be the only one scored this contest, as the 99ers couldn’t find the back of the net and were defeated 1-0. Burleigh stopped 27/28 shots, and Ethan Fraser recorded an 18 save shutout for the Muskies.

The Brantford 99ers are back in action next Thursday, October 5th hosting the Mississauga Chargers for a Western Conference tilt. The puck drops at 7:30pm at the Gretzky Centre.
