99ers Look to Bounce Back After Tough Week

BRANTFORD, ON- The Brantford 99ers faced defeats at the hands of the Pickering Panthers and Milton Menace on Thursday and Friday nights, and will look to bounce back in preparation for next weeks 3 games in 3 days.

Brantford was defeated 7-2 by Pickering on Thursday at home, with the goals coming from Spencer Borg on the power play, and JD Shoniker scoring his 1st of the season. Panthers Ethan Beattie stopped 37 of 39 shots for the win.

The 99ers then travelled to Milton on Friday night to take on the Menace, who currently rank number 13 in Canada according to the CJHL. Brantford started the game guns blazing however, Milton ended up taking control of the game, as the 99ers ran into penalty trouble and couldn’t recover. The final score ended 6-0 for Milton.

The 99ers now prepare for a 3 in 3 week, first hosting the Collingwood Blues at the Gretzky Centre on Thursday, followed by road games in Aurora and Toronto on Friday and Saturday to take on the Tigers and the Jr. Canadiens.
